The Gold Award Goes to ASR Design Studio
Ariel Richardson founder and principal at ASR Design Studio recently celebrated a winning entry to the 32nd Annual Design Excellence Awards competition. The ASID CA Peninsula Chapter bestowed the award on Ariel in September 2016 at an awards gala hosted by The Sub-Zero | Wolf Culinary Events Center at Riggs Distributing, Inc.
The prestigious award recognizes Ariel as a talented designer in the Commercial B – Institutional category for her venture with The Port, a co-working space, in Oakland, CA. LUXE INTERIORS + DESIGN Magazine, San Francisco confirmed Ariel’s designs as a benchmark in its November/December 2016 issue.
The Port offers technology entrepreneurs, chefs, and other professionals a place to work and socialize. Ariel transformed the vision of The Port’s owners, Michael Carilli and Joel Pool, to reinvent rundown Kaiser Center in Oakland, into workspace and team space with an outdoor patio of lake views and kitchens stocked with artisan coffee, among other amenities.
ASR Design Studio cultivated a variety of spaces in which which would allow for heads down space, collaboration and spontaneous networking. Her designs leave The Port buzzing with energy, community, and freedom.
